I am silly and forgot to take some photo's during the weekend of parents. Would have been nice to have taken some in the restaurant (Ascoughs) Nice.
Am - Went for run and DW came with me, plan was to do 5 miles and I was to set the pace, however in my competitive nature I went off too fast and in the 1st mile looked at my Garmin to find that we were running at 7:59 min miles (far too fast). Thought I had then slowed down the pace to only find that we were still running at less than 8:45 min miles... slow down you silly fool. At mile 3 - 4 decided that 5 miles was too much, failed to pace ourselves, so ended up with 3 miles. Silly bugger, really disappointed with myself. Ah well better to do some running than none and last night I did 5, so 8 miles in less than 15 hrs.
Rushed around and tidied house (not that it is untidy) hoovered etc. Called friend in the North as she left me a message on Thursday which I hadn't picked up due to being busy. DW returned from picking up extra clothes (more formal wear) for dinner this eve. Started to play Scrabble (new found game that I love...getting old or just extending my vocab??) ding dong...parents are here.
General greetings and conflab about journey up, nice to meet you, what have we been up to...blah, blah blah. DW started off well by offering father Peroni (tick in the box). Lunch then DW, Mum and me into town but first off to Rieker to see if mum could find some shoes.
It is Zach's 3rd birthday in May, so DW picked up his first bike....Fire Engine Red...cool
