... and what do we have in store for today....
A big Senior Management meeting, off site.... to discuss the plan of action for driving our employees 'Engagement'. Basically how to get everyone motivated to do a good job and enjoy their job at Hammond's.
Held by the Head Of HR, who did a marvellous job to be fair to her, considering some of the negative behaviour exuded by the FD no less. What a cock! He is supposed to be one of the key drivers of the business and he acts like a petulant child, who does not care what his staff (lowest engagement scores in the company) think or how people are feeling about working in the company. mmmmm let me think, engaged people means better performance, means better service, hence brand loyalty, more customers and oh my God more business coming our way...Stop the press... very worrying. Of course me being me did say something when he stated that and I quote 'was a waste of time'...to which I said and I quote 'that's just great that is, coming from a board member...a waste of time'. Silence and tumble weed... but to be honest it needed to be said and I did not receive my P45..
PM - Basically every man and his dog talking about the meeting and what a know the FD was. I am totally focused on engaging my staff. I prefer to have lots of happy bubbly people working in my department than pissed off people who moan all the time. Which set of people are easier to manage??
