Day 255 - 24th September
Monday -
Can finally start my new role today..yeah. This allows me time to plan the works to be under taken with the projects and meet with relevant stake holders.
Eve - Zach night so not much planned this evening. Chilling seems the best solution.
Only 110 days left to blog and the year is done, now that has flown by.

Day 254 - 23rd September
Sunday -
Off to the cinema this am - watching Tin Tin. Cool beans. I have never read any books by Herge, so this will be great. Although I do know the dog is called Snowy and there is a character called Captain Haddock.
PM - finally put the curtain pole back up in Zach's room to hang his Chelsea curtains. Yes I am playing mind games with him, so he believes he supports Chelsea as he gets older and understands the game.
Evening - For some reason went for a walk in the wind & rain!!! This was between our dinner and desert (Apple and Blackberry crumble and custard - a winter warmer). Got soaked but yes we did walk off our dinner.
A full week begins tomorrow, but I am strangely looking forward to it.

Day 253 - 22nd September
Saturday -
Decided to see how fast I could go for over a distance, so instead of running 9 min miles to do 5 miles, I continued with the speed work. Managed 3 miles at 7.46mpm pace, then flaked, that is not bad at all. If I can train myself to extend the miles to a 10k then I may enter a 10k race. If I am to run further then my pace will have to sloe to 8.30 over 13 miles.
Cleaning the house, bloody needs it. I love spending a good few hours cleaning, using bleach, wiping away grit and dirt from areas, just yucky. Once the house is done, it smells delicious and makes me feel whole. (Sad? No I don't think so, I just like a nice clean house in order). Just for confirmation I do not clean like this daily, so No I don't obsess or have OCD.
Doctor Who - Zach just loves it and I am quite partial to watching it too, used to watch Tom Baker in the olden days. Gives my age away though.
Still extremely tired..looking forward to my bed again.

Day 252 - 21st September
Friday -
Spent most of the day communicating the changes and speaking to people afterwards to ensure they are OK and answer any questions.
Eve - A evening of rest, I know 10 days away and now saying I need a rest but travelling home and carrying out house work then off to work for 2 days is hard to get used too.
We have Zach tomorrow evening, so need to catch up on washing and general house cleaning and continue running.
Tired person x
Day 252 - 20th September
Thursday -
Back to work today, so no rest for the wicked and back to find out that my boss has already told my Managers of the changes. OK so I can deal with that. Tomorrow we are telling the rest of the team.
Managed to wing my way to an off site meeting for the afternoon, so lunch out with a colleague and then off to a quick meeting, finish early. A perfect way to start back.
Eve - Body Combat
Of course I couldn't forgo my classes, was going to go last night but had to unpack, de-flea the house and the fleas were not dead in the bedroom. Bastard things.
I could get used to 2 day week
:-)
Day 240 - 10th September
Sunday -
Up at 4.00am, quick shower and then Dad drove us to Gatwick as he only knows how...very fast.
See you in 10 days x
Day 239 - 9th September
Saturday -
We have Zach until his mum picks him up at 3.00pm.
A nice sunny day today, so took Zach to the local park, he decided to scoot along on his scooter, however took about 25 mins to go 1/2 mile. Bless!
Slippers is also going on his holiday today, staying with my parents for the duration, so he will be thoroughly spoilt no doubt.
Eve - staying over at parents as nearer to Gatwick than MH.
Sat outside in the garden until 9ish as weather was lovely and warm..nice.
Tomorrow we are up v early for a 8.20 flight.
One last small blog before we go x
Day 238 - 8th September
Friday -
Busy day today, why is it that when you are wrapping up for the last day of work for a big break that the shit hits the fan and you run around like a headless chicken.
Decided to pack some things this evening, finish packing tomorrow as things still drying.
I have decided to not write a daily blog for each of my days on holiday, so will write an overall holiday 10 day fest.
My lovely new running shoes arrived today, I have been looking for a colourful pair like these for years and now we have it. Great for winter running. BTW - I didn't put them on the table!! Bad luck.

Day 237 - 6th September
Thursday -
Work is becoming a interesting place right now, I am unsure how the changes will go down with the CS team. I hope they take it as it is intended, a boost to make changes happen, more support and people who will look at things differently.
Body Combat -
Cardio and martial arts moves for an all good workout. I wondered why my abs were becoming more defined.
x
Day 236 - 5th September
Wednesday -
I wonder if I will find the time and also whether we will have the weather ro cut the grass before Autumn kicks in. The garden has been neglected this year, other things are taking up time.
Eve -
Body Express this evening, a great work out for legs, back and arms.
2 more days and then off to Tunisia.

Day 235 - 4th September
Tuesday -
To be honest there is not much to report in the run up to the big break, however did go to spinning again this evening. This is now a regular exercise routine.
The class is fast and furious, blowing out my backside just to breathe as we go for rolling hills then ascending a long climb on a steep hill. Sweating and trying to find breathe it's all in the name of keeping me fit and healthy.
This class is not for beginners, however I am not a seasoned spinner but also not a newbie, so I ask myself should I be finding this class hard or relatively easy, knowing my fitness levels??
Need to find time to pack my bags for the off to Essex on Saturday.

Day 234 - 3rd September
Monday, Monday, Monday....
Trying to get into my new role, very difficult when I am still heavily involved in my current role.
Things are a changing and I am unsure which way the wind is going to turn...
No exercise today...

Day 233 - 2nd September
Sunday -
Cinema this am. Every Saturday and Sunday there is what is known in the adult very responsible world as 'Kid's club'. This week MIB3, so we took Zach, possibly a little grown up for him, even I thought it was gruesome. Apart from the initial 'bored' behaviour, he managed to stay in his seat and watch the film (more of less). Not bad for a 3 year old.
.
PM - cycle ride - BVW. Always a good route and the weather was kind to us, cycled 20 miles, burnt a load of calories and felt so much better afterwards.
Eve - Watched last episode of Katie. I know, I know, this is not the type of mindless boring crap I usually watch and yes this is just good PR for her. I do like to watch Katie as she portrays a certain loveable person via this mode of media, conflicting to other media reports and other fellow celebs. Quite frankly she should be commended for her facade of lovely lady, commercially savvy business women and charity fund raiser but deep down we all know she is a loud mouthed pink wearing chav.
The premise to her series - Katie wears pink and goes off somewhere else!!
Sunday is done...x
Day 232 - 1st September
Sarurday -
September, really? How time does fly when you are getting older. At least this means I can now focus on buying the Christmas presents and plan for the lovely autumn weather. Jumpers at the ready people. Just love it! I know what you are going to say? Christmas shut up (True Towie style), but hey us planners out there understand thw significance of the 3 month run up.
Spread your £ over the 3 months and buy the presents over this time - better than being skint when you really the need the £ in December for going out to pubs and events. Makes sense.
Christmas fairs - also cost money if you want to take any little ones to sample the magical time.
Everyone goes a little bonkers with food/drink - so spending the £ as early as autumn will really help.
To be honest I love the run up to Christmas, the actual day is OK and then bang it is all over :-(. Completely deflated, bored and want to now spend £ in the sales but dont' have enough!! This year will be different as little Zach will be around (stockings, toys, Father Christmas, food for the Reindeer) ah takes me back to those amazing times when I was a wee bairn. (Alright knock it off, it wasn't that long ago. Cheeky!)
Anyway back to Saturday -
I promised DW that I would buy him a new pair of sunglasses awhile back and so off to MK to find the sunglasses hut. Low and behold they had the pair he wanted (Raybans). DW thought he would ask for a discount and yes if he was an O2 customer, he is and so that was that. 25% off and also a pair of kids raybans for £15 (due to buying an adult pair) and we were off.
Pootled around in other shops and tied up the last minute holiday bit and bobs then back home.
Good day x
Day 231 - 31st August
Friday -
Thank crunchie....
Zach is with us this weekend, so I am sure we will do some fun things with him. Certainly keeps us on our toes, little cherub.
No more...it is the end of another week.
TTFN x
Day 230 - 30th August
Thursday -
Same old shit but different day....note to self, must stop moaning.
Eve -
Body Combat - love it, cardio and pumping the muscles with combat moves what a great way to work out. After all this time of me wanting and exercising on my own I have now discovered that I love classes. I highly recommend them for motivation and a good solid work out.
Exercise fairy x
Day 229 - 29th August
Wednesday -
Pretty tiresome at work, usually political crap going on and no one, at board level, making key decisions again as no one wants to change the business. What's all that about?
Eve - Body Pump
Push those weights, lunge, press ups and again and again.....I can certainly see the impact these classes are having on my body. Tone, tone, tone. Nice!
x
Day 228 - 28th August
Tuesday -
9 more days and counting people, holiday is on the horizon.
Eve -
Spinning class again and boy does the instructior work us hard, sweat dripping from my pores. All good, certainly feel like a knackered old car when finished.
