Day 154 - 3rd June

Sunday - Jubilee Festival

Trains, planes and automobiles (well two of them anyway)

Free tickets for the Jubilee Festival, which to be honest I thought would be amazing, especially for Kids, seeing as it was aimed at children (sponsored by Sainsburys). Well disappointed is not the word, lots of stalls, selling heart attack food, random arenas promoting Morris Dancing, cavalry on horseback and large African ladies making noises into microphones....mmm. Ate our picnic we had so carefully planned, taking out a mortgage for a burger was a definite no no. Thought it would be a great idea to take the little man off to the 'Kids' Zone', or maybe not due to the 2hr queue to see people running around in costumes prancing around like they had some mental breakdown. Note to Sainsburys - why oh why have you arranged for 2 areas for the kids, asking parents (step parents!) to stand in a queue? What on earth do you expect us to do for 2 hrs with the children, apart from hold onto them, tell them off, tell them to keep quiet, 'stop doing that', 'stand still, 'now you want the toilet?...you get my drift :-)

Although there was a fantastic Punch & Judy show, the lady was excellent and DW saw Liev Shreiber and his Mrs (Who we looked up later and didn't realise was Naomi Watts!!!) Mixing with the rich and famous oh yes.

Zach appeared to have some fun, so that was the main thing really, he enjoyed the train rides and slept pretty much all the way to the Boreham wood on the way back..bless.

Oh well we live and learn people
