Day 42 - 11th Feb

Saturday -

Walked into town, very icy and slippery underfoot. Pottered about doing mundane but necessary things in the town. Thanks to V&A who kindly bought my Euros from me so I didn't lose out posted a cheque through the door very early doors this am. Now in bank. Boots re-heeled, library books returned and renewed (Thanks to David who paid my fines, naughty me). Then off for a Wetherspoons breakfast, once again thanks for David for buying the traditional for me (didn't take a photo) bloody lovely though.

PM - Off to Northampton to visit some Outdoor shops, very interesting experience in the 'Jesus Army' owned shop. Bless the people in there, couldn't work out how the till worked as he only worked a couple of hours a week and felt very faint, he was seeing stars you know!!! (Great, thanks for that insight into how you feel and that you can't work a till, but you can communicate with Jesus..interesting ;-))
Bought myself another pair of 'Bridgedale' hiking socks for my planned walks and a pair of Gaiters.
Travelled home to watch the Rugby (England v Italy), with a Cadburys Creme Egg (1st one of the year) then flaked for a bit as knackered. Less we forget I was not on my own, Mr W has been accompanying me. He had another ski lesson tonight at MK, bless he was knackered, I just watched!!

Very busy but a great day

The G Meister x
