Cinema trip to see 'Journey 2 - The Mysterious Island' - Jules Verne novel.
Although this was a kids club film, I thoroughly enjoyed it, I love adventure films and this is just one great Jules Verne novel. Zach was very well behaved.
DW had a good idea, which was to take us to a woodland near us for a nice walk and also visit Lyvedon New Bield...see below. House that has been standing as a shell for hundreds of years as the proprietors ran out of money, but no one continued to completion. Such a shame as it looks a magnificent building and set in such wonderful grounds.
Unfortunately on our way Zach was sick, too much sweet stuff I think. Well we did eat chocolate and toffee popcorn!! Oh dear! Bless the little fella, stopped off a couple of times on the way. We let him sleep in the car, in the car park, whilst we sat on the grass verge and ate our lunch then lay down and chatted, praying that the rain wouldn't come. Thunder in back ground and ominous looking clouds, we continued to play Frisbee, which was great fun. Luckily both DW and I have hand and eye co-ordination.
Popped to the woodland but Zach had no energy in his little legs so just wanted to sleep in his car seat. Never mind, off we go back to the house where Zach lays on the sofa with his blanket whist watching Monsters Inc.
Eve - Curry and wine with film, great just a perfect evening. DW even showed me an episode of 'Californication'. Very up my street of comedy, loved it. When do I get to see the next episode please?
